I am Shanese Lawson-Smith, co-owner and creative experience director at Lola Designs. The Lola Designs Creative Play Studio is the outcome of a lifelong journey as a maker/crafter/DIYer. The studio is my opportunity to share the joy of creative play with the people of Bloomington/Normal. Having tackled over a dozen creative disciplines through 40 years, I’m totally convinced that:
making time for creative expression is like taking your mind on a playdate
fun art is always a low-risk, high-reward activity, and
the only thing more energizing than crafting, is crafting with friends.
Our Creative Play Studio is a place where these all come together. But you don’t have to take my word for it - I invite you to come in and see for yourself. Until we meet over paints, papers, scents or beads…wishing you all joy.
